Background

Recently, a patient with “bilateral foot pain accompanied by restricted mobility for over 8 months” successfully underwent “percutaneous radio frequency surgery of the medial plantar nerve”. The preoperative diagnosis was “plantar fasciitis”. And the soft tissue ablation electrode produced by our company was successfully applied in this surgery.

1. The preoperative diagnosis is clear, the minimally invasive surgery is preferred

The patient's main symptoms are concentrated in the roots and inner sides of both feet, with the left foot being the most affected. After a comprehensive assessment, the medical team believed that percutaneous puncture of the medial plantar nerve radio frequency surgery is a relatively ideal intervention method.

This surgical procedure utilizes radio frequency energy to selectively act on the nerve fibers that control the painful area, thereby achieving long-term pain relief. It features minimal trauma, quick recovery, and precise positioning.

2. Soft tissue ablation electrode

The core part of this surgery lies in the precise puncture and ablation of the target nerve. Its design features perfectly meet the high requirements for precision and safety of this foot surgery.

Clinical application scope

It is used for treating acute and chronic pain in the head, neck, body and limbs

(1) Various types of cervical spondylosis.

(2) Periarthritis of the shoulder, biceps tendinitis, lateral epicondylitis of the humerus, and tenosynovitis.

(3) Lumbar disc herniation, L3 transverse process syndrome, supraspinous ligamentitis, lumbar osteophytosis, lumbar degenerative disease, lumbar spinal stenosis, etc.

(4) For conditions such as femoral head necrosis, knee osteoarthritis, collateral ligamentitis, knee osteophytosis, meniscal injury, and cervical spondylosis, release procedures targeting the small joints, ligament nerves. For lumbar disc herniation, release procedures involving the joint capsule, posterior nerve branches, and the internal and external openings of the intervertebral foramina may be carried out. Additionally, the disc ablation also can be conducted. For knee osteoarthritis, tendon release and cartilage repair procedures may be performed.

① Advantages of plasma technology

Plasma technology can cause minimal thermal damage, alleviate postoperative discomfort and promote recovery.

② Outstanding operation performance

This ablation needle ensures that no unexpected bending or deviation occurs when penetrating tough tissues such as the plantar fascia, providing doctors with a stable control feel.

③ Outstanding controllability

The working end of the electrode has been precisely designed, combined with real-time impedance monitoring and temperature control, ensuring that the energy is accurately applied to the target nerve, and maximizing the safety and controllability of the surgery.

In the future, we will continue to be committed to the research &development and optimization of high-performance medical devices, and contribute to more minimally invasive pain treatment technologies.
