Recently, our team was fortunate enough to witness a transurethral resection of the prostate performed by Dr. Wang of the urology department. In this operation, Dr. Wang highly praised the outstanding performance of Gaoton Medical’s urology electroresection equipment and also successfully solved the patient's problem.

Part 1 The patient's distress and the challenges of the surgery

Mr. Li (a pseudonym), a patient over sixty years old, is diagnosed “benign prostatic hyperplasia”accompanied by "bladder neck stenosis", which led to severe urinary tract obstruction. After the conservative drug treatment was ineffective, Dr. Wang evaluated and decided to perform "transurethral resection of the prostate" on him.

This is a mature and common surgery. However, the success and efficiency of the surgery largely depend on the performance of the electrosurgical equipment. Any defect in the equipment - whether it is the interruption of operation caused by tissue adhesion to the electrode or the blurring of the field of vision due to poor blood coagulation effect - may prolong the operation time, increase the risk to the patient.

Part 2 A transformation that stems from listening and innovation

1. Innovate products, verify them during the operation

In this operation, a new and upgraded electrocautery device was adopted. The surgical procedure went smoothly, and the performance of the instruments was highly affirmed by Dr. Wang: ① No tissue adhesion: That ensures a clear surgical field of view and the continuity of the operation; ② Remarkable coagulation effect: It can effectively stop bleeding when encountering tiny blood vessels, enhancing the safety of the surgery. ③ Smooth operation experience: The blocking sensation of the handle has completely disappeared, and the operation is smooth and fluid.

2. From clinical feedback to the technological breakthroughs

In response to the pain points of "adhesion" and "hemostasis", the R&D team focused on: ① The collaborative optimization of the electrode material and energy platform to reduce eschabs. ② Redesign of the internal fluid channels to ensure smooth flushing and waste discharge; ③ The precise commissioning of the intelligent coagulation mode achieves rapid and reliable hemostasis effects.

A successful operation is a perfect combination of superb medical skills and reliable instruments. In the future, we will continue to focus on clinical needs and drive the development of surgical instruments through technological innovation.
